Integrative Lactation Consultation
A lactation consultation includes the observance of infant feeding at breast/chest and guidance given to improve comfort of the positioning to benefit the nursing parent and the infant, to improve latch and, therefore, milk transfer. The infant is often weighed before and after a feeding at the breast/chest to calculate how much milk has been transferred.
